We are now just three months out from election day, November 3rd 2026! The midterms are just around the corner, but trust us – the next few months will fly by fast. On November 4th, FGA’s goal is to celebrate historic midterm voter turnout – and you can help!
Here are the updates you need to be ready to cast your vote in the August primaries and in the general election this November!
Primaries to Watch
August is a big month for midterm primaries, with elections in Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. For voters in Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia, and Washington – election day is tomorrow, August 4th!
The primaries are our chance to get into the nitty gritty between candidates of the same party. Not all Democrats and Republicans are the same. For Democrats, many primary races are coming down to “progressive” VS “moderate” candidates. For Example, in Michigan’s Senate Race, Abdul El Sayed and Haley Stevens are competing for the Democratic nomination in the general election against Republican Mike Rogers (who is running unopposed in the primary). The race has seen record breaking spending, largely by supporters of the moderate, Haley Stevens. In many ways, this race represents the friction in the Democratic party nationally – Stevens, the moderate Democrat VS El Sayed, the progressive seeking bolder policies from the party than has been the status-quo in recent years.
Other races are also gaining national attention. Florida will also be selecting candidates for the U.S. Senate, in a contentious special election to fill the seat of Marco Rubio. Across the country, dozens of seats are up for grabs in the House, which is projected to flip to a Democratic majority this fall.
And of course, thousands of down-ballot races for local offices are taking place. From your state house to your city councils, these representatives will make decisions in your community that are often overlooked, yet no less important. So make sure you and your loved ones turn out and vote!
Who’s On My Ballot?
With so many elections this year, we’d be incredibly impressed if you already know every name on your ballot. Whether you’re voting in a primary election this month or planning ahead to the general election in November, it’s important to plan your ballot in advance!
You can find all the candidates on your ballot by using Activote’s personalized ballot tool!
Where Do I Vote?
Did you know polling places can change? Even if your state did not redraw district maps this year, polling places can change for a variety of reasons. The last thing you want to do is show up at 5pm on election day only to realize you’re in the wrong place! Plan ahead! Feel Good Action has an easy webtool you can use to double check your polling place:
How Do I Double Check My Voter Registration?
Have you moved since you voted in the last election? You may need to double check your voter registration and make sure everything is up to date! It sure would be nice if someone made a tool to do that easily online – oh wait, we did! Feel Good Action can help you verify your voter registration with a quick form that you can complete right here, on the device you’re reading us on!
You Can Help Us Make An Impact
